CD Projekt Red Surprises Mac Users
Since 2020, Apple has decided to move away from its partnership with Intel and has begun creating its own chips under the Apple Silicon architecture. This shift has given the company full control over its devices and allows for a new era for Macs.
Following games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Resident Evil 2 Remake, Cyberpunk 2077 will be the next AAA title compatible with Macs featuring Apple Silicon.
Despite a problematic launch, CD Projekt Red has managed to redeem itself with the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion, fixing issues and delivering on its promises.
CD Projekt Red’s Statement:
“Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion will utilize Apple Silicon and advanced Metal API technologies to bring the dark world of the future to Mac players for the first time. Players will benefit from advanced features such as ray tracing, frame generation, and integrated spatial audio for an even more immersive experience.”
The Ultimate Edition will be available for purchase on Apple Silicon Macs in early next year through the Mac App Store, GOG.com, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Further details, including the release date, will be announced soon.
